Saturday Night/Sunday Morning Sandwiches

On the first Saturday and Sunday of every month, First Church prepares several dozen brown-bag meals for The Outdoor Church to distribute in their street outreach efforts.

First Sunday lunches are prepared by the children during church school. Their food offering is then brought into the sanctuary to be blessed with our Communion feast. A rotating group of First Church families delivers the offering to the Cambridge Common at 1 p.m.

First Saturday meals are prepared by First Church volunteers  from 3-5 p.m., usually in Margaret Jewett Hall. From 5-6:30 p.m., volunteers deliver sandwiches, juice and new socks in Harvard and Central Squares.
