Christian Formation Task Force Page

RE-VISIONING THE “OPEN SPIRIT”

In 2002 First Church developed a vision of how the “Open Spirit” might work among us:

Imagine a church that wants to know about God and to experience God,
a church unafraid of diving deep and finding joy.

This spring, a task force will be taking a fresh look at where we are being led by this Open Spirit, particularly regarding the Christian formation of children, youth, and families.   We will also envision the ways in which God is calling us to be a vibrant intergenerational community.

During April and May, there will be opportunities for the Task Force to listen to many voices.  Summaries of what we are hearing will be posted  here on the website.  If you are unable to attend one of the listening sessions, please contact one of the leaders of the Christian Formation Task Force with your ideas:   Stephanie Paulsell or Peggy Stevens.   Check the parish list, Easter EVENT, or the Sunday bulletin announcements for their contact information, or br in touch with Dan Smith, Mary Luti or Sarah Higginbotham.  Please also see below for a list of questions the task force is using in their work.
