“400 Years of Inequality" 10 O'Clock Hour Series

Sundays, October 6, 13, and 20, at 10:00 a.m., in Margaret Jewett Hall

Join us for three 10 O’Clock Hours in October centered on the themes of our 400 Years of Inequality Exhibit, which will be on display from September 8 through the fall. \

October 6.  First Church members and guests will offer a dramatic reading of excerpts from Howard Zinn’s Voices of a People’s History of the United States.  Copies of Zinn’s book will be available at church for your perusal. 

October 13.  Peggy Stevens will lead us in exercises that will help us examine and reflect on the 400 Years timeline and our related First Church “39 Souls” timeline. 

October 20. We will shift from remembering and reflection to our commitment to resist inequality. We will consider pledging our time and resources to a range of options for action, advocacy, and relationship building.
