Carlyle is originally from Detroit, Michigan and he is a graduate of the Masters of Divinity program at Harvard Divinity School. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelors in Psychology in 2016. He is currently working in organizing with the Poor People’s Campaign in his hometown of Detroit, MI while serving First Church remotely guiding our faith formation programming relating to racial justice through the Creative Callings grant from Boston University. When not studying or working, he enjoys the outdoors, writing, traveling, and spending time with family.
