First Church’s Member in Discernment Dom Ackermann has reached a milestone on his journey toward ordination, and we invite you to bear witness to his accomplishments. An Ecclesiastical Council (EC) for Dom will be held on Wednesday, September 8, at 7:00 p.m. via Zoom. The meeting is called to “examine his fitness to be ordained to the Christian Ministry,” and we look forward to hearing Dom present his theological reflections and take questions from member churches in our geographic association of the Southern New England Conference of the United Church of Christ.
