First Church friend Duncan Hollomon, a psychotherapist, with an extensive background in both Buddhist and Christian contemplative practice, will be sharing a time of reflection with Dan Smith during our morning service. The reflection will in part center around Duncan’s experience leading a weekly First Church Contemplative Practices gathering on Monday afternoons. The gathering has been exploring together a contemplative approach to spiritual life, learning practices and various approaches to accessing our inner world, with an eye to seeing the relationship between reflective contemplation and action in the world. Dan and Duncan will share why they think this work is  important for our wider church’s life together. In addition, Duncan will lead us in an introductory experience to contemplative practice.
