Beloved Community members Martha Cook and Linda Ziebell will lead a discussion on reparations with the goal of making the process of reparations more concrete and relational. We will review three thefts from African Americans that have been caused by White supremacy in our country: theft of truth, theft of power, and theft of money. We’ll look at our participation in these thefts and use the framework of repair as presented by Maimonides, a leading Jewish  philosopher who lived in the 12th century and whose thinking about healing and restoration are still influential today.
