Please join us for a discussion of The Water Dancer by Ta-Nehisi Coates. This dramatic book, set amid the atrocities of slavery, tells the story of a man who uses memory, faith, and unique personal power to reclaim the humanity of enslaved people. Reading this will provide a connection with FCC’s “Wade in the Water: Remembering and Honoring Enslaved Persons at First Church” textile art project. All those in the First Church community who identify as women are welcome.
