Newtowne
Newtowne School is a parent cooperative preschool serving children ages 22 months to five years. Located at First Church in Cambridge, Newtowne has four large, bright, beautifully-equipped classrooms, a spacious indoor play space and an enclosed outdoor playground, most all of which are shared with the church. Once a ministry of First Church, now an independent non-profit, Newtowne is the preschool for several First Church families. Newtowne opens in mid-September and closes in June. Vacations generally follow the Cambridge Public School calendar. Camp is offered during the summer.
Basement Offices
First Church has 4 offices/office suites of varying sizes located in its basement. These offices are utilized by long-term tenants, usually non-profit and community organizations. If you are interested in learning more or would like to inquire about availability, please email operations@firstchurchcambridge.org.
Recovery and Support Groups
First Church in Cambridge has long been home to many different recovery and support groups. Because of Covid-19 safety restrictions, we currently have no groups meeting in person at the church. Following are a list of groups which First Church has hosted and will host again when it is safe to do so. (For more information about one of the groups below who meet at First Church in Cambridge, please check with the organization’s local office for current contact information.)
