The Friday Café’s 2023 Spring Fundraising event was a great success. We raised over $10,000!

Thank you so much to all who planned, attended, and/or generously donated. It was wonderful to welcome members of our community who had never connected with our program before, to hear from public officials like Rep. Mike Connolly (by video) and Councilor Marc McGovern (in person), and to delve into the public policy side of the homeless crisis with New York Times Editor-at-Large Michael Kimmelman.

160 people attended, either in person or via livestream. If you were not able to be one of them, you can listen to Mr. Kimmelman’s insightful and thought-provoking talk on our YouTube channel.

A highlight of the evening was the premiere of the new Friday Café video by Café volunteer and Pentecostal Tabernacle member John MacGibbon. That video is available on YouTube as well. Warning, you might want to have some tissues handy!
