Bruce, a Baby Boomer, grew up on Long Island, New York. He completed his BA in Political Science at SUNY New Paltz in 1979, and his MA in Urban Planning at University of Illinois in 1983. Bruce has lived in Chicago and New York City  before moving to Boston in 1989. He is a dedicated film and music enthusiast.
