Faithful Resistance is a movement made up of the First Church community and friends that is committed to resisting the steps toward authoritarianism going on in our country today. The ultimate goal of this group is to support the NO KINGS goal of nonviolent resistance on a national scale. Growing our numbers is vital.
The Faithful Resistance Steering Team provides support by hosting resistance events and trainings; providing a forum for sharing ideas, strategies, planning and providing mutual support; facilitating communication among those individuals or groups who want to resist; and offering space to connect and plan for those who wish to focus on specific areas of resistance (e.g. immigration, education, health care).
